
Dr. Ranjan Pal, Research Scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Dr. Ranjan Pal is a Research Scientist and faculty member in the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA and affiliated as a cybersecurity expert with the Cybersecurity at MIT Sloan consortium. His work focuses broadly on addressing enterprise and supply chain cyber risk and resilience management issues using methods from computer science and operations research.
He is an invited member of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) cyber resilience working group whose insights have reached the US White House. Pal has advised corporations and governments on cyber risk and published more than 100 articles not only across premier academic venues but also in business media outlets that include Forbes, Financial Express, the Times of India, and the Economic Times.
He has been an invited speaker in more than 50 venues around the globe and has held visiting scholar and faculty positions at leading academic institutes that include the University of Michigan, the University of Cambridge, Princeton University, King’s College London, Indian School of Business, IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Delhi, and Tsinghua University.
His research work has received multiple best paper award nominations, and he serves as an Associate Editor of the ACM Transactions on Management Information Systems and is a member of the program committees in the Winter Simulation Conference and the ACM SIGSIM PADS conference.
