Mr. Adedolapo Peter Akindehin is the Head of Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance at Unity Bank PLC. He has led and implemented ISO 27017 (Cloud Security), ISO 27001 (ISMS), 27701 (PIMS), Data Privacy Act (NDPA), and PCI DSS for organizations.
- Seamlessly, effectively, and efficiently worked in teams and have led teams to perform various IS Audits, Cybersecurity trainings, Governance Risk and Compliance, Forensic Investigation, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing for organizations within and outside Nigeria. He is well versed in Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) using the OSSTMM, OWASP, PCI DSS and ISO 27001 Frameworks and Methodologies. He is also well versed in NIST and CIS Controls frameworks.
- He has more than 14 years of experience in the areas of Cyber Security, Security Strategy, Systems Audit and Control, System Security, Data Privacy, Compliance, Risk Management, Governance, Business Development and Leadership.
- He is knowledgeable and responsible for the operationalization of Security strategy, driving the Cybersecurity Maturity, ensuring alignment with the business goals and objectives, and ensuring compliance with risk-based cybersecurity frameworks of the Industry’s Regulator – Central Bank.
- Adedolapo has led knowledge sharing, training, masterclass, and mentorship sessions in Nigeria and around the world for more than 500 people at a time on topics such as Cyber Security, Data Protection & Privacy. He facilitates and mentors professionals in Nigeria, Ghana, United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, who are transitioning from other roles into Cybersecurity and helping them to get jobs.
- Published various research materials and articles. Some of the topics are Cybersecurity Governance as a Path to Cyber Maturity, Cybersecurity Governance: NIST CSF and CIS Controls — A Simplified Comparative Approach, etc.
- A Certified Lead Cybersecurity Manager (ISO 27032)
- An associate of International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Other certifications: CISA, CISM, PMP, CFE, Fellow ICAN, Fellow IMC.
