Dr. Ashish Chandra, Head, Technology Innovation, Functions at Standard Chartered
With close to 12 years of experience at Standard Chartered Bank, Dr. Ashish Chandra has persistent flair for Technology research, exploration and Innovation. He has worked in multiple geographies at Standard Chartered and his last role was at aXess Labs, where he was leading aXess labs at Chennai, Bengaluru, GBA Guangzhou and Kuala Lumpur. During his previous stint at Innovation Labs, he helped SCB to bag multiple industry awards in the field of Innovation ( Digital CX – Asian Banker, TMI awards) against other industry leaders i.e. HSBC, ANZ, JPMC etc.
With a strong technology foundation and hands-on experience on Crypto-Assets, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT), Metaverse, Quantum Computing, Internet of Things (IOT), Robotics, Applied AI and Mechatronics, mastered with his dedication, passion and hard work, Dr. Ashish has delivered multiple Proof of Concept and Proof of Value, for simplifying the day-to-day banking at SCB. He has Masters in Technology and Doctorate in Business Strategy along with multiple certifications to keep abreast of latest technology developments in the market. He has written whitepapers on Upcoming CBDC wave in global economy and Safe Banking via Innovation during pandemic.
Dr. Ashish has been a speaker at multiple local and international forums where he has promoted the role of open innovation, technology partnerships and emerging technology for Business Transformation and effective competitor strategy. He has been working with numerous government and social initiatives to promote Innovation supporting D&I and especially-abled section of our society.
